Music
Music is an important part of worship at FCC. At the traditional service (9:00 a.m.), we have a long history of involving Illinois Wesleyan University music students in our excellent Chancel Choir. We call the group of IWU (and often Illinois State University) students the Drexler Singers. The group is named for Dr. Dwight Drexler, FCC organist for more than 50 years. Funding for the Drexler Singers is assured through a fund established by Dr. Drexler’s family.
At the progressive service (10:15 a.m.), One and All music is led by a worship band, including guitars, bass and drums. The music varies, ranging from pop to Indie rock.
